Im not concerned with mpg, but I am with structural integrity the the vehicle. So I assume placing an engine that produces more torque that could be an issue. What are somethings I could run into with a bone stock 454, & how could I avoid some issues?

as much as i hate shopping at china freight i cant say anything bad about their jacks, especially for the price. i have a personal steel jack that i bought 2 years ago (believe its a 3 ton) and havnt had issues. I have used the aluminum at work for 2 1/2 years under moderate use on border patrol...

if you have the resources (money, space, time etc) i would rebuild. speaking from my own situation i will have to buy a crate or a junkyard just because i dont have any where to build and engine, i would like to build one though especially for the learning experience.

would it hold up, i was planning to use a rust converter, then hitting that with enamel rather than rubberized coating.

I love the way h/o and 442s gbodys look.You can build anything, and the platform that came from the factory of these makes it comparably cheap and easy to to what ever you want with, but if i were to buy a bone stock h/o or 442 i would leave it as is and try restore it to its out of box state...
