back then pontiac didnt put much into the gp as for i see. the grandprix was more a luxury vehicle of its time.. the sport version of the gp was the 2+2 ...which im not even sure if it came with the h.o. 305..i feel the same way u do. even as today u cant find after market performance parts or...
thats wat i told him before was to go wit a non lockup converter an he shud b gud....but he didnt want to listen to me...i thought tht only 200r4 an 700 came wit a lockup..but thnks for the info....
wen i removed the 350 from my black one it was dirty...cleaned it up a it added a double roller timinchain..an valve covers..oh yea an fresh hooker headers out of the box freshly painted as well they came in black...

i bought my 85 gp in 06 an five yrs later i wreck it...i hit this guy in a gbody cutlass...the best thing is i bought a 85 gp a couplel of weeks before this...so i took my 350 out my black one an put in my black one
my friend has a 79 malibu an we are tryn to find out wat orignal motor an transmission came in this car....to the transmission info is need because he wnts to put in a 700r4 but wants to know if the car wiring harness has those wires....
see i was told tht the it ran before an that wen it did it acted like it wanted to cut off...guy said he thought it was the module in the distributor but thats not im thinkn fuel line is clog or somethng but wit an electric fuel pump do u hve to hve a regulator in order for the pumpp to pump...
im hvn fuel problems...my 85 grandprix has an mr gasket fuel pump on it and wen i turn the fuel pump on i can hear it but its not feeding gas to the motor....i really need help i jus put motor an transmission in this car....nvr drove the car is it beginnin to b a headace
the thing wit a v8 is tht ur intake is going to b for a four barrel which your carb is going to b four barrel too..so the connections tht u have for tht v6 two barrel may not match up to tht four barrel....so altercations may need to b made to the harness....but if u got a carb at least u can...
wat will cause yo car to ovr heat...an to smoke come up thru the oil filler hole...
and it cut off on me twice....water is coming bck up thru the resvoir..350 chvy
bro i feel u...i went thru the same exact thing...had to have the transmission rebuilt...mines cost bout the same as urs wit a shift kit...an if ur gettin it rebuilt then u want a shift kit...trust me u will be able to tell the difference
