Good ole gm....$50 for the build manual...they are pretty interesting tho...back when I had my 85 Monte, I ordered a free copy from gm for every Monte Carlo 81-88...ugh oh, maybe those 400 sheets of paper I cost them back in the 90s made them start charging.

Re: SBC in a 85 442 I say build it how you want. Putting a gm related engine in a 442 is NOT some irreversible mod. There is probably someone parting out a decent 442 as I type this(I've seen several on here) I'm sure there is someone else chopping one up to lift it up on 28" rims this very...

I paid a Grand for mine, non posi... But it came with a nearly rust free 1985 442 body, OZ code 200-4R, & a decent interior! Of course I spent almost as much in travel expenses to get it from Indiana to 'the good life'/Nebraska!
