is it possible I have installed the new rear end bushing crooked into the 12 bolt housing?
it looks fine, but when I go to install the upper 12 bolt swap arm, it is out of alignment with the top mount by 3/4"
if I mount the top bolt first, the lower bolt will not line up at all. I don't have them mixed up.
can the new bushing be causing the alignment problem?
anyone with similar experience?

Maybe the upper arms are being made by the same guy that makes there springs!

What is the housing from?

I know my uppers on the housing side were a snug fit but they were straight on to the bushings. Once they were over the bushings and compressed then slightly (or held them snug) they felt right.

Like said already, if pics can be made available, that would help greatly in trying to solve your dilemma. They only go on one way, so something else is off.

I used UMI 12 bolt swap uppers with roto joints in the housing and didn't have any alignment problems. Also have their lower double adjustable arms with roto joints. Made it easier to get everything lined up after I welded on new brackets and spring perches.

What brand rear ? I had an issue with the spring perches on the Moser rear in my 81. One side was welded further back and on a steeper angle so the springs didnt sit right.
If you think its something with the mounts on the rear, take it out any put a piece of plywood under it. Take a ton of measurements. Maybe somethings off.
Was the rear in the car before with different arms ?

Did you try to put the lowers in place first ? Maybe you just dont have the rear in straight.
