I have a 1984 Monte that I’m looking to put a new wheel/tire setup on. I’m looking to do 15x8’s all the way around with 235/60r15’s on the front and 255/60r15 (maybe 265/60r15) in the rear. What is a good backspacing for this? Every thread has a different answer. Some say 4” but that will hit my steering knuckle. NOT looking to use spacers! Any tips about backspacing or tire size would be a great help

I have ran zero offset which is about 4.5" backspacing, I usually run 275/60 on the rear.

4.5 backspacing up front as well? I only have about 4 inches from mounting surface to steering knuckle? Or will a 15” wheel clear?
I ran 15 x 8 all around on my Monte with 245/60 fronts and 275/60 rear with no issues, here is an old picture with the ARE rims.

Now I have 15 x 4 frontrunners and 15 x 9.5 rears with a frame notch and lowered with 295/55 MT's on the back

On my Regal I ran 15 x 8 rims but with 235/60 fronts and 275/60 rears.

And now my Regal has 17 x 8.5 rims with 235/50 fronts and 275/50 rears and I did a little work from the above picture. ;)
