Just wanted to post my 17" tire and wheel combo, fronts I am running 17 x 8 with 4 3/4 back space, torq thrust 2, 245 45 17 and the c5 front brakes running longer studs and a 1/4 spacer to clear the calipers.
The rears are 17 x 9.5 torq thrust 2 5 1/2" back space ( running 1.25" wheel adapters for future 8.8 swap option) stock 7.5 rearend with 305 45 17 which are the same outside diameter as my 275 60 15 were so my speedo is still right on the money. No frame notch, no tub, just cut the quarter panel lip that sticks in and rolled the inside of trim up.

I hope this helps others out,
I really wanted 17" but didn't want to lose the stance and wanted to keep some sidewall on the rears, it's a tight fit but looks amazing, someone else turned me onto this on a facebook group I am on.
My only issue with my set up is the only available rear tires in this size are Mickey Thompson street drag radials

Looks good. I have 17x8 all the way around on my car. I have an 8.8 so I run bullitt wheels and 1" spacers up front to adapt the pattern.
How are the c5 brakes? I plan to go that route, but I am considering going to the c6 brake, but that requires an 18" wheel. Which kit did you use for the brake upgrade?

Man those 305s run narrow on a 9.5". Much like the first release of the M&H Racemaster 325 Drag Radials.

Still it is better than playing it safe and running 275s.

Love the C5 fronts and I also did the manual s10 rear wheel cylinders. It stops amazing, I got the zq8 front spindles and the specs off line for the brackets

Wow those tires look awesome on your car! But I am more curious about your crazy headlights, they look cool, what are they and where did you get them? They are obviously LED's right?
