I have a 1979 Cutlass Calais with a Camel Tan Lochland Velour Code 62E, maybe also listed as Trim #28???

I am trying to find vinyl paint for the door panels.

I have not found someone who can match the correct color, seems a lot are too brown.

What has anyone used to match the door panels.

Need brand and paint #

Any help appreciated.

Do some searching on the Forum, and i am sure you will find your answer. Most of us use SEM paints for interior parts. Welcome to the Forum, you should post some pictures up and introduce yourself!

It's my understanding your local paint supply house can custom mix SEM paint to match for you.

Here from my PPG library for 62 Dark Camel Tan:
Seats: UCV 2-565 (discontinued, superseded 24542)
Door & headliner: 24542
Instrument panel (Very Dark Camel Tan): 24664 semi gloss, 24659 low gloss
These will be for their Specialty Performance Products line for recoloring all interior parts, Deltron & Duracryl for hard parts.

If you want an exact match SEM offers a free color matching service. I just sent a door panel to them and they got the color so close I couldnt see where they tested it.
If you have a piece thats still pretty close to the original color (maybe on the back ?) give them a call. Theyre in SC and they have an excellent customer service dept. They will match the color and give you the formula to get the matched color mixed.

If your doing more than the door panels. I recommend buy the paint to put thru a spray gun. I done mine with a bunch of spray cans and the colors are not the same.
