Hello forum members,
I have a question regarding the headliner in a 79 Salon "fastback", AKA: the buttless Cutlass. Does anyone know if the headliner is the same as a standard Cutlass?
Also is there a source for the plastic interior panels next to the rear seats? any info on these would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks for any responses! I have a 79 Salon 305 4 speed car that needs some interior stuff. It is an odd car for sure. ordered from the dealer with a 305 4BBL (LG4 option), 4 speed Saginaw, 3.08 "posi" rear diff, tilt column, rally gauges, reclining buckets. I have a soft spot for the unique body style.

Thanks!
Chuck

Okay here are some old pics from 2011, currently Car has a 360 cube Chevy in at present. it is an old dirt mod motor of mine with bowtie heads and a Victor Jr. 1 3/4 Schoenfeld headers. 305 is on a stand in the shop. That stinks about the headliner being longer, anyone have a source? More pics to come tomorrow.
I am in Minnesota, land of the rust!

Here is a pic of the dealer invoice from Kline Oldsmobile in Roseville, MN. I see suggested retail as 7185.20, and the ship date as 12/11/78.
From the options some notable ones I see C49 window defogger rear, FE2 rally suspension package, G80 differential limited slip, MM4 transmission 4 speed floor shift, Y72 cooling system high capacity, A79 and AT6 reclining seat backs, A51 bucket seats, U21 instrument panel rally.

What do you think? I believe it to be a rare car with the options it has. That being said it doesn't mean its worth any more than a standard Cutlass but I feel it should be saved/preserved.
