I signed up a while ago but just lurked for the time being. My name is Sam and I have a 1980 Buick Century 4 door that was passed down from great great uncle. I got her in 2007 with 26,6xx original miles. I told myself I'd drive her for a year or two and then move on but she really grew on me. I just put a stereo in her and drove her since. She never let me down. 265ci Pointiac (4.3) V8, TH250 and 2.56s. Cruise control still functioned perfectly.

Unfortunately last night I was T boned about 3 blocks from my house. The driver was early 20's in an Infinity and he pulled out as a truck was turning and assumed no one was behind it. The passenger wheel, suspension, front fender, front door, inner fender well, bumper mounts and possibly the bumper, and the front end body piece (not sure what that is called).

I know she'll be totaled but I do plan on keeping her and fixing her up. Any info on parts interchangeability would be great. I already made a few wrong assumptions earlier this year when I bought some new trim parts that looked they fit but didn't.

Welcome to the site...sorry to see that happen, looks like it was in great shape.

I know of one that has been sitting for a few years, I don't see them very often around here. Even if I did buy the car shipping parts out of Canada may not be cost effective. Hopefully you can find someone close or at least in the US with the parts you need.

There was a running Turbo V6 Century for sale in Burien I believe less than a year ago, I went to see/drive it but didn't buy. Keep your eye on Craigslist.

Glad the header panel and hood look like they survived. Hopefully the frame and A pillar are not too badly tweaked. Keep an eye peeled on Cragislist. You'll need Century door and fender. The door will take some lookin', since you need a sedan or wagon donor.

A lifelong mechanic friend of the family came by and looked at it today. He said the frame looked ok but the suspension mounting tabs were bent. Luckily the car that hit me was lowered so it tried to go underneath. That's Infinity grill stuck in the tire. The A pillar is the part that worries me most, but won't be able to tell until I get those panels off.

Sorry to hear about/see the damage to your Buick. Glad that nobody was hurt. Hope you're able to save the car and get it back on the road again.

Always a jackass in an infinity. Hope you get her road worthy again. If you can weld, or know someone who can, anything can be fixed.
