It's a one-year-only piece.

78-79 fit the body lines but only have one headlight each side. Which, may be what the guy you were speaking to was picturing and thinking belonged since the aftermarket hood looks to need some work.

Thanks just was wondering because header panel is bad and I would like to replace it and was wondering was alternative for it. The reason being a old timer told me that is not correct front end for the Monte Carlo 1980
80 is a one year only deal. Four headlights. 78 and 79 will work, but you need a hole assembly. Two headlights.

My first legal car was a 1980 monte, 4 brl 305 auto , buckets with the center console and floor shifter. had the 4 headlight grill. Car was mint and I tore it up . LOL thats why I tell parents dont buy a nice car for your kids first car, I didnt tear up up on purpose, just stupid sh*t being a new driver, backing into sh*t, bumping the fenders , sh*t like that.
