Started work on this:

Figure I should get this mocked up before I pull the bumper off to fit the fillers. Plus there is going to be some consideration/fabrication needed once I get in there. Lots of fore/aft and vertical adjustment.

The hitch mount comes of for other prospective attachments (parachute?).

Should test it on the Monte too.

What do you plan to tow with that setup?

Got your money's worth out of the can of Mopar cleaner.

Nothing really. I just wanted something to hang my hitch basket on for Drag Week or road trips. The bar should double as a stiffening brace.

As for that can of brake cleaner... I like to test my grip strength while huffing solvents.

Dual vices are an interesting touch. Are they mounted on plates so that they are removable?

I suppose I could. But, those two have been mounted on the bench, in those locations, for almost a decade. One is the primary and the other (with the swivel) is often used as my third hand. They are aligned so that I can steady/hold/support a long piece of material. Those plates are bolted to the bench through the vices to keep them from shifting - they are very heavy.

at first i thought you were making a trans cross member (think ice man style) then i saw the hitch in the middle and thought it was some kinda awful trans torque arm/spare parts scavenger hunt but was then distracted by the crushed aerosol can...
