1980 Pontiac LeMans Station Wagon - G-T-faux (stuck with it, and can't shake it... like a bad case of herpes)

Sat down with a coffee and Google to do some thinking about those pesky fenderliners...

Felt a lot like this:

What about heat to reshape the plastic? Bingo. It is done all the time in the slammed luxury car world. An hour later I had gained some much needed space. I won't know how much until the next time I take it for a boot.

How id the MTO dance go ? Did you quote JC ?
..... " 'cause to type it up it took the whole staff, and when they were done the title weighed sixty pounds " LOL

How did it all shake out once on the road ? Surely there will be some tweaking

LOL - I have never heard that song before - nice!

The only point to note is a tiny bit of play in the PS front wheel bearing - but still well within spec; it is an easy fix. Flying colours otherwise - for all intents and purposes it is a brand new car. From here out it is just a matter of tuning it, tweaking it (alignment), and getting the AC working.

Don't worry - there is a plan for the MCSS. We just have to clear some space around here first and that means selling off the spare parts.

Shaker hood? If you turned that plate the other way a set of 70 GTO hood vents would be cool!
