I think if I cut thru where the two tabs meet on the top and the bottom I wouldnt hit the column with the wheel. As for the mess... it is a disaster already lol. At least all the seats and dash are out. I have a moving/welding blankets I can drape around the car as I cut. I was more concerned that under the shield would be a column cut to hell or something, but it looks like the shield just goes right over the column.

At this view it looks like an old anti-theft collar I've seen way back in the day.

Nice columns are like $800 on ebay.

I probably tossed "thousands" in parts before the move. The hassle won't be missed.

That said: grind on, my dude! Grind on!

Got about 90% of interior wiring done. Got power fed to the relay board using a circuit breaker. Once I run a ground I should be able to turn the key and the FT should power up and the switch panel should work.

The board - I have relays scattered all over the car. It’s somewhat of a mess.
Its a nice piece. Not as robust as the leash stuff but much cheaper and more flexible too.

Very quick video to see if the Fueltech powered up with key on power and to see if the party button on the mini 8 switch panel to control the output on the relay panel. The "party button" is a button on the switch panel. It does 3 things (so far). It sends ground signal to one of the relays on the switch panel. That ground output turns the relay on. On the other side of the relay is 12v power. That power is the power for both the trans brake/2-step and the line lock. Because it is a street car I like to have an activation switch to give power to the trans brake/2-step and line lock so they cant accidentally be activated when driving around on the street. The other thing the "party button" does is raise the rev limiter. Good thing I didnt have main power to the relay board because the ecu triggered the fuel pump relay for 3 seconds when I powered it on (like it should), if I have main power to the relay board the fuel pump woulda came on and covered the engine bay in E85 lol.
If anyone is interested enough I might do a fairly detailed video going over the car as it is now, talking about whats been done, what needs to be done, parts used...etc.
