1983 hurst olds need help with transmission

Ok first thank you all from my previous post. I went ahead and replaced TCC selonoid. Car seemed to shift better but it seems to shift quick into second and just bog down. Once you give it a little gas it kicks down and goes and then continues to do this I also noticed that there is some play in the shifter. No vac leaks Just seems like the shifting timing is off. Can any of you guys help with info on rectifying it. Thank in advance

That doesn't sound like an issue with the TV cable but it's worth a shot to check it. That could make the car shift early, but I don't think that would make it bog down.
