Hi all. Hoping you can educate me. I’ve got an 84 Olds Cutlass Calais with Sand Gray interior. I’m working on replacing / refurbishing some interior parts (some cloth / some plastic) and really contemplating what colors I need to order.

I know it sounds like a no-brainer right? But….

That said, I am confused as to what having ‘sand gray’ means. If I buy a new carpet and paint for the center console and lower doors, is it ‘sand gray’ or are there different colors – and if they are different stock colors how do I determine which I order for each area?

I included pics to hopefully explain what I’m trying to say. I feel like my interior fabric, carpet, console, lower doors (and very obviously the dash) are potentially a couple different colors. (see arrows) I want to make sure I’m ordering the proper colors 😊

Really appreciate any help, thanks.

Sure, it's code 60, but it also doesn't have the secondary interior code for the dash/column. Looks like you're going to be needing some light sand gray and some dark charcoal for the dash, medium charcoal for the column perhaps. SG is for semi-gloss, LG is low-gloss.

Thanks guys!

So are you saying my sticker is missing the secondary interior colors? Or GM just doesn’t list them in general?

It's not missing it's in one of those three codes. I can't remember which one is it but I'm thinking 609 is the fabric combo.

Ive posted this before but if you want an exact color match for SEM Color Coat they offer a free color matching service. All you need to do is send them a piece of trim with the color you need and they can match it 1000%. After they get the sample it usually takes a day or two. Ive had them match a few colors for me over the past couple of years. The woman that does it is Ann Zolle. She is amazing. I sent her pieces of vinyl, a full rear door panel from my wagon, a glove box door. She did a perfect match.
You have the option of getting the formula from them or buying the dye directly from SEM. I just wound up buying it from them because they do small sprayouts on the back of the pieces to get the exact match so you know its the same stuff. The shipping is a little more because of the Hazmat regs but its well worth it.
After the guys at the local body shop supply messed up the first two batches they mixed for me I lost all faith in their abilities.

Second part. GM uses primary interior color codes on the SPIDs.

FYI, 60C is the cloth color, 60I is the interior trim color, and 609 is the seatbelt color.
