Hey guys my name is jeremy and i am 17 years olds
Firstly let me tell you about my well lets say gbody fever it all started when i was about 7 years old when my dad bought a 1987 monte carlo ss with a 355 sbc for a parts car for his 1987 monte carlo ss which has gotten in a accident back in the 1990s well long story short my first ride in a muscle car was in a gbody and i was hooked ever since.
now let me introduce my story when i was 15 i picked up 1984 grandprix it had a 350 sbc and turbo 350 ect i was the second owner of that well i later found out that the cars floor was worse then i thought and it had a bogus repair job on the rockers and the rear seat support was cut out for the scariest stereo install i have seen.
this brings me to my cutlass i bought to repair the rot on my car grand prix well i have now after a lot of thinking i rather build the cutlass and not cut up a good shell.

My plans
Engine 350sbc for now i really want to keep the olds theme and go with a efi converted 350olds
trans Turbo 350 or t5 manual trans trying to figure out how much it will cost
Wheels and tires Cragar soft 8s 17x8 up front and 17x9 in rear
Suspension Stock for now look at the umi stage 3 kit
Rear end ford 8.8
Interior grand prix dash with custom sheet metal interior nascar feel to it
Exterior Cowl hood and matte black paint with black vinyl top
i am very eager to get started when this horrible winter comes to a end and i can start
thanks and i will take any info or tips you guys have to offer me
See you in the spring

Sounds like a nice build. Wanted to do a similiar build with my cutlass until I decided on a street/strip setup. I think I am going to do the Ford 8.8 as well. I have been reading good things about that swap.

i am really focusing on the handling and the ability for it to handle power reliably. and i have heard the 8.8 was the best choice for the buck even for converting to gm bolt pattern is still cheaper then any aftermarket bolt in i have found for my budget

1/8" steel is your best bet IMO. it's very close to the factory frame thickness, is easy to work with, and is weldable with most 110 volt machines.
If you would like/need ideas on how to go about it, I've covered how I did mine in depth in my build thread. (Juggernaut build thread).
Good luck, and keep us informed on the progress!

hello guys i am back with a little update... since i am a CO-OP student at our local Gm dealership they are letting me bring in my parts to fix the rust and paint them very blessed for that gives me extra time to work on my frame after school two bird one stone sorta deal. Well i have sanded the paint getting ready to strip them and fill the lower trim holes and wheel wells trim holes. I was also wonder the inner fender not the wheel well but the part that connects the front clip to the body and that holds the hood hinges can they be interchanged because i have mint grand prix inner fenders and was wondering if they will bolt in to the cutlass fenders?
