Thanks alot this info helps alot. Is there any marking on the block its self or under the hood that says specifically whichh motor it is? Im sure its a stock block but all the stickers are too fadded to read any specs on them. The base engine remained a 229-ci V6 rated at 110 horsepower (In California there was a 231-ci Buick V6 option rated at 110 horsepower limited amount were produced). The standard V8 was a 305-ci rated at 150, and the standard SS was a 305-ci HO V8 rated at an impressive 180 horses. The only option was the unpopular 350-ci V8 diesel engine, rated at 105 horsepower.
