Well I'm finally getting to the point of being able to tear down the monte carlo and build it the way I want it. I have posted about a fee things on here before but figured I'd finally make a build thread. Recently picked up a 2 inch fiberglass cowl hood for it, I'm in the middle of putting floor pans in it now which has been delayed due to having to put a new engine in my suburban. But here it is. I've had a 385 stroker in this car aswell as a 5.3 lsx it will now be getting a turbo 5.3 until I'm able to get a twin turbo ls7 for it. Currently a roller

What would be some good recommendations for suspension setups?, disk brake setups?, interior places? I need a new dash aswell.

Brakes depend on what wheel and tire you are going to go with. The stock 15's limit the brakes you can put on, but the S10 blazer brake upgrade (11") is a good start that will work with any wheels and can easliy swap to larger disk sizes.

The suspension forum has a Sticky thread with typical suspension recommendations

General must haves for a good handling G-body are - the body connected good to the frame at all bolt points, good control arm bushings, various body frame stiffening bars in place, .5" taller ball joints, U-joint lower steering shaft, stiffer front springs, better shocks and larger front/rear sway bars.

At your power level, you will need a new rear axle, at least an 8.5" or a Ford 9".

Picked up some parts for the monte. Nice dash, seats, center console, package tray and misc things. It needed it!

Cool thanks. Color is no big issue, I got some interior dye to match my interior (dark maple; '81,'83, '84.) As long as it fits my budget it will be great, I have two & they both need caps put on.
