Figured what the hek better get my build thread started and share whats going on with the 86 monte junk yard budget build. So here we go i thought this pic was perfect to get things started. (Shout out to TimO22 for the help)

It started with the under car power washing to knock off some loose rust and paint!!!!

That must be one of those newfangled mobile 4 post lifts.

It looks like a good starting point and it's nice that you already have buckets and console in there.
What are your plans for it? Lots of power I hope.

Yea power is key. I plan on swapping the nice 305 that's already in it for the sbc with mild cam.

installed my exterior window sweeps, upper and lower door panels after some custom cuts...... found a really nice set of crank style panels and converted them to power window and lock panels. Also installed a nice set of slim exterior window rubber sweeps. Actually easier than I expected

Decided to start ripping the vinyl off for hard top conversion, and dreaded all that I've heard about rust underneath. First rip no rust... cool and so on. Lucky me a rust free roof top under that 30 year old vinyl.
