Pair of t-tops off a 87 GN. In nice shape. Asking $500 US or best offer. BTW I am in Ottawa Canada so more then likely I would be shipping item and would need buyer to cover the cost. No keys or covers buy will be shipped is a professional manner. I believe these are indeed interchangeable with any g-body car. I tried them in my Monte, they fit great and locked down firmly.

Wow, two guys with their first posts and trying to sell expensive parts without an introduction. Good luck with your sale. You might have better luck on Facebook marketplace

Factory t-tops will fit any 78-88. Same basic design but 78-80 tops have plastic trim around the edge that needs removed to fit the 81-88 center bar.

According to GM parts information, not all T-tops were created equal. Not sure about other makes/models, but Oldsmobile used a few different part numbers for their stuff over the years.

78 and some early 79s, use the 1st design T-top glass with the bright metal channel around them. The glass itself is SMALLER than the newer versions. A note in the parts description even states this.

Sometime in 79, they switched to the 2nd design, with the plastic C-channel around the perimeter of the glass and the glass was noted as being larger. This 2nd design was used from 79 through some point in the 84 model year run. It had black shading on the glass. The "new" 84 design was used through sometime in 1986, with dark gray shading to them as the only difference noted.

Some point in the 86 model year through 88, they got rid of the plastic channels on the glass, and were lockable.

They may fit everywhere, but then again... I've never had the opportunity to mix and match to see.

I have a service bulletin on the plastic channels for the T tops need find it. Why they did away with them to many complaints about the plastic channels ripping the T top bags.

My younger brother sold me his 78 prix t top in 82. Spun a bearing in the V6 I then changed it out to a 305 V8 droveit for a year and some jackalope T-boned and totaled me i kept the T-tops. My brother lives in Carolina and has come across in 87 olds but needs the tops this is why I asked about 78 Topps. he wants to buy the car but he is looking for info on 78 Topps I have... I'm betting he wants them for free hahaha thanks for the info I may have to drive thetops down to him
