1987 Monte Carlo headlight/high beam question

Hey everyone, just putting my MC back together and I am questioning this light operation. Are the high beams the center most lights, and driving lights the outside light? I may have swapped the connectors. Also, is the driving light not supposed to stay on with the high beam operation? First pic is driving lights, second pic is high beams.

Outside low, inside high. Should only have the inside bulbs lit with the high beams on.
