Are the 87 exhaust ports on a SBC the same config as the Gen 1 SBC motors?

'87 engines are Gen 1 SBC's. Those ports are pretty close to being the same from '55 to the current Gen 1 crate engines. Only differences would be the addition of the 7th exhaust manifold bolt (after '75), change to center bolt valve covers ('87), the change with intake center bolt angles (sometime after '89), the removal ot the intake center bolts (Vortec's). Believe exhaust manifolds for Gen 2's (LT's) can work on the Gen 1's heads.

Thanks, was not sure when the exhaust port changed.
Wanting to pull the 87 roller motor out and put in the 350 crate motor but use the stock manifolds for the time being since the exhaust is all welded up from the CAT removal
