I have an 87 Cutlass with 215/65/15's mounted on 15x7 SS111 Olds wheels , The front tiresare rubbing the back of the lower control arms, on turns with a bump. Does this mean the front springs are wornout? Car has 150.000. Or is somethingelse going on?

What exactly did the wheels come off of? Originals or reproductions?

The reason I ask is not all super stock rims were the same. Appearance-wise the center hub sections were the same, amd even some of the barrel lips were, but, backspacing varied between original, reproductions, and what the older a-bodies got vs the gbodies differs too.

I forget all the exact measurements, but, I do remember that much from when I used to swap meet hunt rims for rims 30 years ago

If your wheel lugs are long enough, while not ideal, a quarter inch spacer would correct that as long as it doesn't push the wheel out far enough to cause rubbing on the outside of the tire at the fender area.
