1988 Chevrolet Caprice.

305 v8, little over 225,000KM on it and the TH200-R4. Numbers matching, and unlike the Pontiac, it's not bastardized. Still has the Delco factory radio.

Was previously owned by a mechanic, since 2004. Frame was undercoated, however one of the body mounts went. Had a small rust hole in the trunk.

Floor pans, may need to be replaced in the vehicle as well, but I don't want to yank the carpet to find out lmao.

I had an 84 impala once upon a time, too many doors so it also only cranked down halfway in the back.

It had been hit (hard) in the rear with frame damage repaired and a small wrinkle in the qtr panel sticking around. When I sold it the next guy stuffed rims on and subtracted 100k off the mileage to bump the price. Looked pretty good from 5 feet off though, paint did shine and interior was rip/wear free.

Well, actually I tried giving it away FREE twice. Was a 305v8 700 trans car. It just kept coming home. It sat literally almost 3 years on a college parking lot after I gave it to one younger friend, and even they didn't tow it.

Finally I found someone to give me $400 for it a few years later, around 2011 or so?

Nice! I wasn't driving in 2011 unfortunately, or else I would have loved a vehicle like that.

Love it! And agreed, I refuse to modify mine. The only thing I did change, was use a button for the horn, due to damage in the fusebox.

Yeah there starting to disappear OD transmissions V8s for swaps, figure 8 and demo nights at the track
The 200-4R I really do enjoy, compared to my Pontiac with it's awful TH-200.

I thought in '88, caprice sedans came with 700r4 transmissions and wagons came with 2004r transmissions
