1988 cutlass euro emblem

hello all! I have a question about the euro emblem that goes in between the grills has anybody opened up these emblems and refurbished them? I was curious as too what you guys did to prevent any cracks and what you guys did to put back that plastic piece. Thanks in advance

Here is mine. Definitely customized from stock. There is a seller on Ebay selling the emblem to replace the old worn out plastic.

I bought the replacement I’m just curious as to what you do to make sure the plastic piece covering the emblem doesn’t crack

You won't reuse the plastic piece. The emblem is thicker and fills the space well.
