Looking for assistance as to what type of trans is in my car. It's OD from factory never changed out is it a 700 , 200 or ??? Any related info is appreciated by the way there is no 305 in it I have owned it for 24 yrs bought it in 93 with 45K on it just turned 85 K it's a mod 350 the trans doesn't seem to shift well like slips but that is sound it makes what OD trans could I replace it with that would make the diff

It should be a 200-4R.

Check the pan for identification.

I appreciate ur help greatly it's bad owned the car this long & dont no the trans type lol but u have been a tremendous help & I do appreciate it sir. What would u suggest I change it to? It was behind the 305 now behind a modified 350 runs about 325 hp I guess never had it dyno ed. It just does not seem to shift like it should maybe just me thinking that way. I don't race it just a cool show car it's my sweetie! I do baby it! But thx again once again sir appreciate ur response

If it is a 200-4R just have it overhauled by a builder familiar with them and have them put in a shift kit.

Check out the big Transgo kit. It is well liked. Do some research. There are some great threads on here regarding a mild performance build of a 200-4R.
