Hey guys just picked up my new project, my first gbody a 1984 Grand Prix!

Bone stock minus a new intake and carb, Stock 305 and th350.

Needs valve cover gaskets and tires and I want to replace the window seal moldings to start!

So next question. 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 ls. Going to keep it auto and want a cruiser for me and wife that can handle 350tq then a turbo and 400 hp over time!

Body isn't perfect but she's mine!

Dante

Welcome !! Nice GP and appears to be in great shape. I had an 81 LS that I really liked and enjoyed driving.

Welcome to the site from Houston. That's a nice looking car. I like the look of the centerlines on it.

400hp/350ft. lbs. is pretty easy to acheive with a 5.3 with headers and a cam swap. Do your research. LS swaps are not cheap. It would probably be less expensive to meet your goals with a Small Block Chevy. If your heart is set on an LS swap, go for it. We did one in my brother's 78 Z28. It's a 6.0 backed by a T56 Magnum and the car is a blast.

Thanks all for the welcome! Just went to get title transferred and an antique tag and a guy was showing me love and mentioned his old square body!

Will be sure to start a build thread when I finally wash her up.

Door belt moldings rock auto or someplace else?

Welcome to the forum, I bought door belt moldings for my Grand Prix from a company called convertible top specialties in Florida.
