test fitted them other day and they rub in the plastic wheel well. who's delt with this and is it as simple as a heat gun? the rims have 3.5 BS (17x8) and it only rubs at max turn (when you hear the whine) in the well closest to the fire wall. the OD of tire is 26.6" and the when got the car 20 yrs ago had 245/60R15s and can't for the life of me recall if had the same rub cuz those were also 26.6" OD.

I have 245/45R17 in front with 2 drop spindles and stiff springs, 17x8 wheels with 4.5” B.S. They rub as well. I had considered going to a narrower tire, but I’m told by one of the vendors on this site it’s a camber issue as g body cars don’t have negative camber under compression, and if I correct the suspension geometry with better a-arms and tall ball joints it won’t be an issue anymore.

I run 245/45R17 in the front, 17x8 wheels with 4.5” B.S. Used to scrub the Sway Bar but I put on a 1" Billet Spacer, that helped.
to last 2 posters i should have paid more ATTN to the smaller sizes ppl are using with 17s on Gbodys when i did this post.
