If I'm not mistaken, you'll have to replace the pitman arm to a G-body part. I believe the length and offset are different. Perhaps one of our fellow members will confirm that.

What type steering box is in your car presently?

I have used them on several cars and not changed the pitman arm. They are the same as the G body. Quickens the steering by one whole turn.
You will like this upgrade.

A 3rd gen F-body Iroc/Trans Am Box would be better than a generic 2nd gen box, because it would be high effort and guaranteed to be 12.7 ratio.

A lot of 2nd gen F-body boxes were floaty crap. You had to get a Z28 or WS6 box to get a good one. The stock box in a MCSS, GN, TType or other performance G body is better than 80-90% of 2nd gen F-body boxes.

If the Box is out of a WS6 or Z28, $110 USD is a good deal. if its out of Straight 6 1976 Camaro, pass.

The G body pitman arm is not the same length and is not designed the same as the F body pitman arm...

Well, i have one for a 3rd gen base firebird but without the pitman arm.. could i swap that over from the second gen?
I eill msot likely be running wide c4 swablade rims so decreased turning radius might not be a bad thing!

I could understand why you chose to replace that oversize paperweight...or small boat anchor.
For one, they're leakers. I've replaced two of those in my car over the years until I went with the 800 series Monte Carlo SS unit, which is beefier and will outlast the 605.
