I love my wagon, but hate my wheels! I just got this car. I’ve driven it just a few times and I’m not used to it yet. After this 1 session of “spirited driving,” I now need a new clutch. Lol. It’s parked for the winter (I’m in MN) now and I have the interior out and I’m refreshing it and making it black. It’s a project and needs a lot of work! Anyway, even though it has a 305, it’s still unique with the T5 and a GN rear end. Hopefully, by spring, it’ll look totally different.

Have you decided on what brand clutch you will be going with?

Probably Centerforce.

Drop the money on a McLeod RST twin, and don't look back. It's 2x as much as a Crapforce, but takes 10x the abuse.

30 years ago though?!! Hahahaaa.
And as far as being able to “take the abuse,” I have a factory T5. It can’t take much anyway. I read good reviews on the particular centerforce clutch kit I was looking at. I’ll have to look into McLeod then. Thank you for the heads up!

Mine was in a Saginaw 3 speed on the tree with a 350 in a full size 74 Chevy pickup.

So it wasn't any type of Hot Rod

How about a McLeod Super Street Pro? That RST is for 800+ hp. I’m married with 2 young kids, too big of a mortgage, and I’m just a baggage handler. I’ll never be able to afford a car with anything even remotely close to 800 hp! The Super Street Pro is much cheaper and rated for 550 hp...I think. I’d be fortunate to get near 375 hp in the future. That RST may be overkill for my setup and future plans.

I have a Stage 3 SPEC setup in my Malibu.

Their Stage 1 is rated for 467lbs of torque and is $299
