Timing is way off, and a little history when this started would be helpful.

The "squealing" noise may be from the power steering pump being low on fluid?

I heard it chanting numbers: 4-5-5, 4-5-5, 4-5-5, 4-5-5...
Before we start spending you money take a look at all the belt drive stuff, adjust the timing, & even see if something is caught up with the flywheel/ torque converter. If everything is OK get ready to open up the heart.

Is the fan contacting the shroud? It could also be the torque converter cover contacting the flywheel. All the spacers must be in the right places and the water pump must be the right length or it will not work. There are 4 different water pump lengths for the Olds V8.
