307 VIN location?

I recently bought an 84 olds cutlass supreme that was originally a v6 car and someone swapped a 307 in it. Ive been reading about some of the varietys of 307's. it has the 5A heads. I read something about VIn y and VIN 9 so i was wondering if anyone could tell me where to look for the VIn on the engine. Thanks!

Shouldn't really matter, there's only a 10hp difference...
9's have a thick balancer while Ys have a thin one.

Only the ones with 7A heads and A5 intakes.

i have an a5 intake and 7a heads as well its out of my old 87 442
