330 engine swap

Swapping a 330 olds into my 86 Regal. Have a question about where to hook the vacum heater control valve and vac canister?

The only problem you'll have with this swap is answering all of the questions like "what's a 330?" or "yea I had a 350 Olds in a Cutlass one time". Pictures would be nice and might help with your question.

It is a rebuilt 330 Olds engine out of a 67 Cutlass. Basically swapped in this engine with a rebuilt TH350 trans. Getting rid of the Q-jet also .Have a 1406 edelbrock and performer intake.

Barf on the Edelbrock 1406, many Olds guys have cursed at those carbs, the new AVS2 seems better. Otherwise an awesome swap. I teed mine off the carb but you could do a fitting off the manifold. Mine just shoots on the defrost and floor because of a screwed selector vacuum valve in the control unit, very common.

As long as you have the right flexplate, you'll be fine.
Sorry to hear about your carb choice.
The purple vacuum line is for the controls.
The gray or white is for the Max AC heater shutoff valve.

Its all in and working, Sorting out the small details. Don't know what the problem is with the edelbrock. It set up perfectly. Have one one my W-25 also

Maybe the Edelbrock quality control is better now. There was an endless parade of poor running Olds V8's on Classic Olds with the Edelbrock carbs. Some had many hours of tuning with little improvement. Nice W25, if the Edelbrock's run well for you then enjoy.
