Hi! I know this topic has been beaten to death! I searched and read 30 or more pages while waiting on approval :)

But, someone here surely has pics (3 rod shifter) of the different detent plates used (3 speed and 4 O/D) I'm rebuilding a set and want to convert it to O/D. I have idea on how to do it, I'd just like to see how Hurst did it. I do realize that I will probably have to make a new shaft too. Thanks for any help!

Pics, cause everyone likes pics! This had one rod completely missing so I have to make up some parts for it too...

Thank you guys!

Looks like from copying my Chevelle O/D shifter, that it just needs one more notch. But as you said, there is other work to do...

I started making the missing/broken parts out of tool steel this morning. Waiting on some stainless to make new buttons, springs, set screws, new shaft material:giggle:...

I got all the material and parts (I think I need) For now, Im going to concentrate on getting all the missing/broken parts made. Probably see where this thread is at after that then just do what I think is best to convert it.
