Converted to 4 wheel disc brakes on my monte carlo ss changed the combination valve and 3-4 months started leaking. Changed it out back in June yesterday noticed it leaking again. Leaking at the rear at what looks like a rubber plug/gasket with a sort of star washer over it. Is there any brands or manufacturer that is recommended, this change out is a real pain. Any good advice please.

The aftermarket disk/disk vales are trash. If you really care about a disk/disk valve and want a good one a late 2nd gen f body ws6 valve is set up for disk/disk.

I've also had good luck with the stock disk/drum even on a disk/disk setup.

Wildwood also offers an adjustable one.

Thanks I am trying not adapting current brake lines. I replaced them all when I swapped so the combination valve is in the original location with two inlets,2 front outlet's and 1 rear outlet. With 3 different fitting sizes what a pain

Is the one you replaced the Kesley Hayes or Bendix style?

The 2nd gen should be a direct swap over.

These are photos of the first one which was aluminum. The one that is on the car is the same only brass/bronze. The leak seems to come from the star washer area. Again thanks I try to locate one.

PV-2 is for Disc/Drum. PV-4 is for Disc/Disc and should not have the star washer on the valve. The ones I use are solid brass. PV-2 has a "Vent" under the star washer, PV-4 should have none. The PV-2 limits pressure to rear, PV-4 is full press to rear disc's.

Both of them are pv4's as per the stamp but at least the one in the photo has the vent under it. I am learning aftermarkets suck. But I need to find a good replacement any help????

I bought a new brass disc/drum proportioning valve from Inline Tube about 5 years ago for my 86' Regal and that one has been working fine ever since I installed it.

Thanks i'll look into them
Im also using Inlines valves with no issues. Go on their website and get the part number. Then go on ebay and look the number up. They have an ebay seller that sells tham for a lot less $$$. At least they did two years ago.
Are you sure its the valve thats leaking and not the flare fitting ? I had one line from the master where the flare had a tiny crack and I had to replace the line.
