Question (I feel as though I know the answer but want to back it up): Which transmission should I run for my Cutlass LS swap? I have a 60e with the pull out I bought, but everyone runs 5.3L with the 80e. I know the 80e is a beef cake.

Seems like it isn't worth beefing up the 60e? Just start with the 80e and call it a day...

Car goal is >500 whp, run 10s? Drive on weekends and to/from strip. Going to build it to beat on it.

80e hands down. It costs a boatload of cash to get the 60e to the strength the 80e already has, plus it’s really easy to redo the clutches yourself on the 80e. Do it right at the start and don’t look back.

Thanks fellas. Those are all the things I assumed.

Will find an 80e!
