Gearing up for a budget LS swap in my '85 Regal and will do GT45 turbo most likely. I'm wondering what most turbo LS guys on a budget are using for radiators and fans? Will a stock truck set up fit and be sufficient?

A pickup setup won't fit.

4th gen Camaro or Dodge intrepid fans are easy to install on a budget and a replacement rock auto radiator from a g body or 3rd gen f body works well. Cold case and many other people make single pass direct fit 3 cores.

If you're ok spending another $200 Griffin makes a nice 19x31 that fits and is dual pass with both hoses on the passenger side and makes a cleaner setup.

Great info 81Cutlass, thanks. With a turbo I’m thinking it makes more sense for a drivers side upper hose location to get the hose away from passenger side mounted turbo? Or is there room for clearance?

I am going log manifold and drivers manifold under engine crossover for my hot side. Stock rad with SN95 mustang e-fan, same as the ford Taurus. If the fan wont keep up I'll go dual puller.

How are you routing your hot side?

Is this a daily, Saturday nite red light racer, strip or what? How much boost? It makes a difference for a recommendation.

I have a stock 3?? Core rad from my elcamino in my 5.3 turbo Malibu. GT45 sits right behind the passenger side headlight. Fan is from a crown Vic cop car.

Weekend driver, nothing fancy, not a lot of boost, just want something fun, reliable, with a little power. Will be 100% stock 5.3 except for Deca 60 injectors. Will most likely be an On3 76mm turbo. This is my first LS build and my first turbo build and I pretty much know nothing about either! Thank goodness for forums! Just trying to get most of the issues lined out before they pop up. I know so many guys have done this so most of it should be easy. I’m going to try my hand at building the hot side myself with stock truck manifolds.
