5.7 Vortec w/3spd Manual Trans.

Has anyone put a manual trans behind an L31 Vortec WITH the mechanical clutch linkage?
I'm curious if the L31 motor has the provision for the ball stud on the left side of the block?
The 110hp V6 is coming out!!! The Iraqi Taxi is getting a heart transplant!!!
I've been acquiring parts all winter to do this. Ram clutch and 153 tooth flywheel, Edelbrock perf. RPM air gap intake, Holley EFI Sniper system, Aeromotive intank fuel pump, efi sending unit...and I just ordered a new long block from the dealership.
I just thought of the ball stud... I'll make it work either way.

I'm not sure about the L31 block, but I have an '87-'95 350 block here, and it has the threaded boss on the side of the engine block at the rear on the driver's side, just below the deck surface for the cylinder head, and above the oil filter mount. The block casting number is 14093638. Hope this helps. I'm interested in seeing your swap in progress and complete.

The heads flow really well and it's a roller lifter engine.
