Excuse my ignorance, for I have never done body bushings on anything before, the kit from Mike's while, nice, has no instructions. Is this even the right bushing?

so

What the hell

why is this like this

the little hole in the body isn't lined up at all with the hole in the frame

That bushing is just a cushion. It does not attach to the body, you install it through the hole in the frame and the body just rests on it.

I’m not sure how you even have it hanging there???

There is one or two holes in the body the top nipple of the bushing (idk why it even has a top nipple) just so happens to fit in. i popped them in the frame holes and let whatever happened happen.

The hole in the body you installed it in is a rust hole!!!

Yeah use the frame hole. I just did them on my 70. I don't even know whats on the body side of it. Just popped in the frame and let the body down.

Did you happen to see if there was a cage nut, body side? Assuming we're talking about under the 1/4 window, for some reason, my 67 had a cage nut in the body and the factory put a cushion there. I added a mount and bolt; figured "what the hell? why not?"

The #5 just sits in that hole and then the mount sits on top no bolt.
