I put a 500 Cadillac in my '87 Cutlass Supreme over 10 years ago. I can feel the potential but I lack the mechanical expertise to maximize it. I haven't given up though.
The car is definitely more powerful that other big block musclecars I have owned. When it was running right it was scary. I still recommend the swap for the knowledgeable as the torque is incredible. The 500 weighs about the same as a 307 Olds. I did lighten the front end by installing an aluminum intake and an aluminum hood. With stock 307 front springs, a spacer under them and Moog Cargo Coils in back it rides level and nice. The trans is a Turbo 400 and the rear is a posi out of a junkyard Grand National which also contributed its front sway bar. The swap kit was from now defunct Maximum Torque Specialties. Bought out by 500CID. Right now its parked due to a possible bad rod bearing but after I get another project back on the road I will return my attention to the Caddy.
