Nice power numbers but the sheep mentality. Anything besides a LS or SBC people, we already they can be done to death! I know one guy did a Pentastar V6/A8 swap which is unique and brand appropriate. I wish Dodge would do a factory supercharged Pentastar, guys with SXT Challengers are in the low 12's bolting it on with the tune, more with a custom tune. Here is a link to Ripp Supercharged one. I and tempted to copy this guy with my GT, may once the warranty is up.

I'm not a fanboy but thanks for assuming. This is a budget build and I used the parts in my budget to finish this. I'm not brand loyal to any brand and will be using a 300 Ford i6 in my 55 chevy. When your a hotrodder you use what you have or can afford being brand loyal often times means you pay more for the same end result. The car puts a smile on my face and hundreds that grew up with a basic family 4 Dr that they remember from their childhood and that's why I built it.

I am not 100% brand loyal either. I seriously considered a Buick 455 when I first built my 88 Cutlass. I just prefer the SBO V8 for old school builds. Yah, the Ford 300 I6 has many more parts available and more of a following than the chevy I6. Very interested in that build. I could LS my car 10 times over, I just choose to not put one of the no low end LS turds in my cars. I would buy a Camaro if I wanted one. The much better Gen 5 V8 5.3 and 8 spd or 10 speed is the only tempting new GM swap and much more difficult. Just my opinion, enjoy it, the Slant 6 was reliable but a turd in stock firm, no doubt night and day difference, enjoy.

This was at a local show over the weekend

Seen it and thought of you and the original plans for the car.
