so i thought i would share a few pics of my 73 h/o.i had the car for about 18 years now and its been slow going.i havent driven this car for 14 years as its been toren down all that time.it started with the 455 rebuild and just snowballed from there.the first 3 pics were taken 15 years ago.

like i said the motor was first.i ran into money trouble and the project went on hold for many years.the engine was installed and ran for break in.its punched to 468 ci.

from time to time,i was able to work on the car but allmost gave up a few times.she was as rough as could be but its a super rare numbers matching car.only around a thousand made so i knew i had somthing special.i just couldent give up.it would just take longer thats all.

so,i got the body pretty straight and found a painter.he's a good friend of mine and a well known member of the hurst olds community.but befor paint i decided on his advice to remove the frame and do that first.this pic was 2 years ago.as i said its been slow going.lol

after getting the fram blasted it needed a few repairs befor paint but they were minor so off to paint.here is the frame now.i replaced fuel lines brake lines and shocks.the pics were taken on my phone as my camera got broke so not very good.

the next thing i decided on was the core support.i know i could have just found a nice one to replace it but i like doing things the hard way i guess.lol.it was rotted out where the battery sits but other than that it was not to bad.

so,i got the support looking pretty good now and it was off for paint along with a few other front end pieces.

thank you.yes im near the end of this project now.money is better now and ive decided i need to get it done so i can enjoy it once again.

the next part of this project was to mate the 455 and trans back to the frame for the first time in allmost 15 years.i can remember a time when everytime i worked on this car i would get a pile of rust that would fill a 5 gallon bucket.lol.not anymore.
