How insulting the software classifies you as a noob when your website gets referenced about every other day. The gauge pinout for example.

I'm impressed in the Cecil burnout video that you did not lose the camera or fry the microphone. Amazing to watch that tortured left rear tire and suspension move under load.

Nice choice on the soundtracks!

Thanks Todd, for sharing your Malibu evolution with us!

Thank you.

I have a chromoly mount made up to hold the GoPro under the car. I find the video very helpful to see what's going on to correlate that with the data we get from the data logger. Really helps when we were having traction issues.

the vids were a killer idea to timeline the building of the car both times. love the way it looks now. has a nice stance and the color is simple and clean. what size is the scoop you are running?

The cowl hood is a 5" hinged cowl from Glasstek. This past winter I put a forward facing scoop on top. I'm changing classes and don't need the forward facing scoop so I'm gonna order another 5" hood from Glasstek this winter.

Just a little info about the car for those interested.

The past three years I have raced the car in a heads up street car class called Ultra Street or Ultra 275 as it is called at Cecil County Dragway.

The car weighs 3025 lbs with driver and is a stock suspension car and has a SFI 25.3 cage. All fabrication work was performed by myself.

The engine combination is a 594 ci convention headed BBC that is run naturally aspirated. The engine has made 1205 hp on Q16 and 1214 hp on C45. Trans is a Rossler glide and a TRZ chromoly 9" housing out back filled with Strange 40 spline parts.

Best ET to date with the car was a 4.98 at 138.8 mph. Best 60' on the 275 DOT drag radial tire was a 1.125.

At our July race we had an issue come up with the engine and found the middle 3 main bearings tore up. Crank was bent .009" and the #4 main journal cracked. The engine is in the process of a complete rebuild, detuning slightly to convert the car to run the local 8.50 index class which is 1/4 mile instead of the previous Ultra 1/8 mile class. Should have the engine back here in the next week or so and hope to get back out and test some this fall before winter hits. Next spring we'll need to do some more testing to work on dialing the cars performance to hit the 8.50 index which mostly will be handled by an adjustable restrictor plate.
