Didn't need another project but it came home with me but it's a buddy and me project car he wanted to go in halfs with me.
79 malibu was a V6 car guy bought it in 90 and sat in a garage since he did put a sbc in it but never finished it has solid doors frame trunk lid just has light surface rust. Hood it the only thing that is junk. Interior is super dirty as the windows were down for 31years I did clean the passenger side door panel and looks new just hope the rest comes clean.
Plans are 350/350 trans just make it a driver with a/c

Dang, that's almost a twin to my first car!
I had the pleasure of a deluxe a**-burning vinyl interior, and a stick though.
Same color, sure brings back some memories.

What I noticed is, the thing that makes this look even nicer is the license plate on the trailer says "Illinois". The pictures are not showing any of that brown stuff chewing away at the car. Nice score!

Yes it's a Illinois car but has been off the road since 1990 and who knows how long it sat in a garage before the guy we got it from. There is rust but not heavy rust

It looks like most of it is surface rust and a bulk of it will be gone when you start replacing stuff so, overall, not bad shape.
