So since the Malibu project car is with my buddy he said how about some Chevy rally wheels I said ok. Next question before buying a set will 15x8 workin the rear does anyone know the backspacing on the stock wheels. Was there different form years and models that ran these wheels.
I do know that there is a company who makes look a likes.

I have 15x8’s on mine with a 255/60 tire. I got the aftermarket ones at 4.5” backspace. I used a 7/32” spacer to give a little more room. I think factory wheels are 4” backspace. It’s like they need a 4.25” backspace to be right

4.00 - 4.25bs works good for 15x8" wheels. A 255/60 would be my choice for rubber.

That floor pan shot of the driver's side looks surface rough but as noted could be just surface acne. Sand the crap off and seriously lay on a good coat of rust killer and go from there. Frames are miserable to delouse when the body is still mounted but a frame off is a serious project and time consuming. You get a great result when done but they can also cause project burnout.

Factory Corvette 15 x 8 rally's on my SS Monte Carlo are 4.00 back space. I had them on my 86 El Camino for a short time with a 245-60 BF Goodrich tire.
