This one will be the Pinnacle for what an '81 V6 Regal is worth:

IMO the value will be hurt by the dealer recondition special - rattle canning the whole underbody is enough to stop me bidding - and believe me, had they not done that I would've even if I wouldnt have likely won.

It won't stop some, but each bidder you lose costs something in the end.

It's likely a possibly 107k car. If garage kept the early cars wore well on the interiors. I've got a 167k 1983 that shows equally well except in red interior. Note it says 7k showing, not documented 7k.

Carfax was not accurate on old cars for mileage either. My 287k original 87 suburban is an 87k mile truck on carfax... and only then because of a reading entered off the 5 digit odometer recently

With the buy-in on that car I wouldnt cheap out on the drivetrain.

If you swap it, grab a 455 or go home.

If you have a built Rust bucket Regal and live in the North East, this is the body swap to have.

It will likely sell for less than body work, rust repair and paint would cost on a rusty car.

Some of the pictures have it parked next to a 308/328 Ferrari, so the dealer thinks he'll make a killing off this. I'm predicting somewhere between $6,000 - $7,500. Over $9,000 will be tough, Possible, but tough.

Nice car, I got lucky on my Monte but I will never buy another Gbody project with a vinyl regardless how clean the rest of the car is.
