On my local FB marketplace I fount what looks to be a 8.2 axle from a 77 cutlass for $150. Were these axles an option in these cars and would it bolt right up in my 83 Monte Carlo? How strong are these axles, I'm swapping in a mildly built 350 (probably around 300hp) and want to have an axle that can handle the power (I will be using slacks on the dragstrip).
Thanks
Josh

Better off doing 28 splines in a 7.5 and Camaro diff, money better spent and no goofy trailing arm angles
