A very common problem on these cheap mounts. I plan on getting a set from Supercars Unlimited for my 70S. They get their mounts from a different source and have the common 73 to 90 RWD mounts you need. Not sure I could buy the cheap ones for my 70 anyways. Sorry you got a shitty ones☹. The motor looks great with the black and gold.

Leave the gaskets on the shelf and use silicone. I never trusted this stuff until I blew out gaskets one after another on turbo builds. This stuff will withstand 1800 degree exhaust temps and NOT leak.

Any one know anything about these exhaust gaskets?
Thanks
I used the Summit Copper gaskets, I had leaks on my Flowtech POS headers. I coat all my Copper or Stainless exhaust gaskets with RTV. Those gaskets coated with Optimum Grey should last a long time. It is a much heavier body RTV than the Red or Ultra Copper from Permatex.

Try the Optimum Grey, their strongest 700 degree RTV by far.
