I got an 80 grand prix SJ with a 5.7 vortec out of a 99 Yukon had 130k on engine I converted to carburation also put a 700r4 in the car I bought the 700r4 cross member off jegs for the gbodys, ceramic coated headers runs and drives new eldelbrock intake new rebuilt holly carb hei distributor. The engine I did go through make all looked good inside I did put new high volume oil punp in it a new high flow water pump new timing chain and gears. All new gaskets through out engine as well as valve stem cap/seals. Drive shaft was cut down and balanced. Overall interior for the age is in really good shape Original mileage car but the motor was junk and everything worked on it someone threw a rod and that's why I did a engine swap.

For the bad the power steering pump is bad gots a leak. The window switch works but it has fallen down inside the panel. Center console foam is pretty ruff.

Heater and ac would work if you hook rest of wires up and ran new hoses and charged the system I never did cause it wasnt a daily for me.

Asking 3200.00 obo

Be very careful with that air cleaner.

I have seen cars go up in flames because of them.

If you ever hear a BUUUURP from under the hood you are on fire!!!!!

Well got the cross memeber mounted and the drive shaft measured and dropped off. Wont be able to work on car tell sunday but plan is to hopefully stab distributor plugs wires cap and rotor and move the battery box from driver side to passenger side on sunday morning after work. Rhen see about scrubbing all the aluminum brackets to try to get them clean before I install all of them hoping I get lucky and the thread fittings from power steering pump will screw into the pontiacs steering box. Then I got to hopefully figure out how to get the 98 yukons ac compressor to work in the car as well I dont think they sell a harness to convert from pontiacs hire to the newer harness if they do what the part number or what did you all do
The plug on the front of the compressor runs the clutch, and should be adapted to the factory ac clutch wiring in the harness. The plug on the back is the high pressure cutoff switch (I think) and can be left alone. I used an A/C hose set for a 2000ish S-10 with a 4.3. I had to change the end that goes to the evaporator with the end of the old factory hose, and have a shop recrimp it back together. The other end that goes to the condenser will fit directly and be about the right length as long as the condenser's hookups are on the passenger side.

You will have to do some careful bending to get the compressor side of the hoses formed to clear the hood.

I actually have almost the exact setup you are going for in my Bonneville.
