Finally got it installed. Thoughts versus the 1st version?

How's the underneath look got room for a 14 inch air cleaner? Since I have a Bbo in mine hood clearance is going to be a major concern. Thanks Toby!

Need to see a profile view and underneath before making any judgment calls. I will say I thought the ridge was going away all together but it's still there so I'm not quite sure what to think about that.

Overall I think the Darth Vader cowl looks a lot better and don't know why you didn't just use that as your model. Not to say this one ain't any good, but a cowl designed by Oldsmobile specifically for the 81-88 Cutlass you would think you would just repop that....

I like the ridge, but I'd like to see the lower edges flow better with the existing hood lines right and left toward the front....if that makes sense. Less curve as it comes down at front too, little flatter. I think it would help it look less like an add on

Yeah that one. Nothing funny about that at all.

well you know what they say about opinions. I made one of those scoops as well with no center ridge and had more negative feedback about it as well.

Damn Toby you cant catch a break can ya! I for one like it and like it a hell of a lot better than the corny *ss looking one the H/Os had stock - there, I said it. The center ridge looks good because it doesnt have the sharpness or profoundness the chevy hood had. The only thing I would worry about is whether or not it matches the header panel ridge. Its hard to tell in the pics but im sure you did your homework on that.
